Medan – After a series of engagement between Musim Mas and the Korindo Group, today PT Tunas Sawaerma, a member of Korindo Group, announces a moratorium on new land development with immediate effect.
The company will conduct a joint stakeholder consultation including stakeholders in the supply chain and civil society groups. The feedback and findings will aid in preparing for the establishment of a comprehensive No Deforestation, No Peat, and No Exploitation (NDPE ) policy. The process is expected to complete in three months.
A three month moratorium will be implemented in three concessions – Tunas Sawaerma A, Tunas Sawaerma B and Tunas Sawaerma E under PT Tunas Sawaerma (Tunas Sawaerma).
Musim Mas encourages Korindo Group to continue working with all its stakeholders to establish the comprehensive NDPE Policy during this moratorium period.
