Singapore, 26 October 2026 – Musim Mas Group achieved a strong score of 9.3 out of 10 in the Global Child Forum State of Children’s Rights and Business Benchmark 2026. For four years, the Group has maintained its position among leading companies globally in advancing children’s rights across governance, workplace practices, supply chain management, and community engagement. This 2026 result reflects Musim Mas’ continued efforts to integrate children’s rights considerations throughout its business operations and sustainability strategy.
In the 2026 benchmark, Musim Mas continues to retain a perfect score of 10 in “Workplace” practices. Musim Mas’ strict screening processes continue to ensure no child labour in both its operations and its supplier network. At the same time, the Group recognizes that a family-friendly workplace can play an important role in supporting children’s well-being. In 2026, the Gender Committee attended a training session by Dignity for Work for All to enhance its capacity to advocate for shared parenting responsibilities and child protection in the workplace. This training equipped members with the practical knowledge to foster a more inclusive workplace culture and support the implementation of family-friendly practices.
To help employees balance their work and family responsibilities, Musim Mas provides childcare facilities and on-site schools, enabling parents to work with peace of mind while ensuring their children’s safety, care, and access to education. Beyond its workplace initiatives, Musim Mas also implements a range of initiatives aimed at advancing children’s rights and enhancing their well-being.
Musim Mas believes that a child’s right to education extends beyond the families of its employees and should be accessible to all children within the communities where it operates. In 2026, PT Musim Mas constructed three kindergarten classrooms for Pesaguan village in Pelalawan Regency, helping improve access to quality early childhood education. Proper education facilities provide a more conducive and comfortable learning environment for children, while reinforcing the value of education within the local community.
Aside from education, access to a safe recreational space is also crucial to a child’s overall well-being. In 2026, in collaboration with the Deli Serdang Regency Government, PT Musim Mas unveiled a newly constructed public space for the people of Percut Sei Tuan District. Designed as a multifunctional public space, the square caters to a variety of community recreational needs. In addition to meeting halls and sports facilities, it features children’s playgrounds that provide a safe environment for play, supporting children’s physical, social, and emotional development.
The above examples are just some of the initiatives that Musim Mas has implemented to safeguard children’s rights and enhance their well-being. In recognition of these efforts, PT Musim Mas received an award from Asosiasi Perusahaan Sahabat Anak Indonesia (APSAI) in 2026 for its active involvement in supporting children’s rights. The recognition reflects Musim Mas’ continued dedication to fostering a child-friendly environment and creating a positive impact for children.
“While benchmark results are important, what matters most is the positive impact our initiatives have on children and families. We view this recognition as an affirmation of our longstanding practices and efforts that support children’s rights across our operations and supply chain,” said Olivier Tichit, Director of Communications and Sustainability at Musim Mas. “Over 11,000 school-age children live in our plantations, many of whom attend schools funded by our Anwar Karim Foundation (YAK). We can see first-hand how quality education and child-friendly spaces positively impact children and families. By investing in local communities, we create environments where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.”
