Collaborating for Deforestation-Free Landscapes: A Joint Workshop by Musim Mas, Golden Agri Resources, and Wilmar in Subulussalam

In early 2023, Musim Mas partnered with Earthqualizer, a non-profit organization committed to transforming commodity supply chains for the benefit of people and nature, to conduct a scoping assessment in five villages in Aceh Selatan to evaluate deforestation risk levels. Aceh Selatan became the latest Smallholders Hub established, officially launched in August 2023.
The assessment classified all five villages as high-risk. In response, the Group plans to engage two of these villages by the end of 2024. While awaiting the assessment results, Musim Mas proactively deployed two Field Assistants to the area, who had trained 17 independent smallholders by June 2024.
