27 February 2025, Singapore – Today, Musim Mas Group, a leading integrated oleochemical group, launched its 2026–2030 Sustainability Policy, marking the third iteration of the Group’s long-standing commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.
The updated policy introduces a refreshed structure centred on three key Impact Areas: Sustainable Production, Responsible Sourcing, and Thriving Smallholders and Landscapes. These Impact Areas form the Group’s strategic areas for addressing sustainability risks and opportunities across its operations and supply chain.
The 2026–2030 Sustainability Policy builds on the Group’s strong delivery under its previous policy cycle. Key achievements include receiving consecutive CDP double A ratings for Forests and Water Security for the second year in a row, achieving 98.8% delivering on our IRF profiles, validation of our net-zero targets by the SBTi (Science-based targets initiative), and the launch of Musim Mas’ high-yielding oil palm varieties, known as GS Series.
These key achievements, among others, provide strong foundation for the Group’s 2026–2030 Sustainability Policy. Since introducing its first Sustainability Policy in 2014, with a subsequent update in 2020, the Musim Mas Group has continued to strengthen its sustainability commitments and approach through regular five-year policy updates. These updates reflect lessons learned and are designed to mitigate the impacts of evolving global challenges, including geopolitical uncertainties, supply chain vulnerabilities, and heightened climate and social-related risks facing businesses. In order to address these challenges, it is imperative to make our business model more resilient.
This focus on resilience is reflected across our Impact Areas:
• Sustainable Production – Strengthening resilience through operational stability, as well as adapting to and mitigating climate-change impacts
• Responsible Sourcing – Strengthening resilience through secure, transparent, and compliant supply chains
• Thriving Smallholders & Landscapes – Strengthening resilient communities and ecosystems
Environment and Climate, Human Rights, and Business Ethics are three core subject areas underpinning the Group’s Impact Areas and commitments, ensuring a consistent and integrated approach to sustainability across the business. Together, these commitments contribute to the advancement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Alongside the Sustainability Policy, Musim Mas Group launched its 2026–2030 Sustainability Roadmap. The roadmap, derived from the Sustainability Policy, reflects the Group’s commitment to translating policy into measurable, on-the-ground action. The Musim Mas 2026 – 2030 Sustainability Roadmap can be found here.
“Our 2026–2030 Sustainability Policy and Roadmap is focused on strengthening the business for the long term,” said Matthias Diemer, Director of Climate Action and Supply Chain Sustainability. “By embedding sustainability across our operations, supply chain, and the communities we work with, we are managing today’s risks while building the capabilities to adapt and thrive. Reducing emissions across our value chain and supporting smallholders in adopting sustainable practices helps mitigate climate and transition risks, while creating a more resilient and reliable supply base.”
