| November 2018 | 13 November 2018:
Rainforest Action Network (RAN)’s report titled “Perilous – Korindo, Land Grabbing & Banks” detailed local communities and NGO’s complaints about Korindo’s logging and oil palm operations in North Maluku Province, though its subsidiary Gelora Mandiri Membangun (GMM). Analysis of the broader Korindo Group also raises numerous red flags regarding its corporate governance standards. We have no business relationship with Korindo Group as our last purchase date was in end 2016. |
| October 2022 | Korindo group announces the separation of PT Gelora Mandiri Membangun and PT Papua Agro Lestari from Korindo Group’s management. Both companies will be managed independently as Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group. |
| November 2022 | The discussion between Musim Mas and TSE group explored efforts that have been carried out by TSE Group to improve its sustainability practices, address grievance cases related to TSE Group, and the possibility of TSE Group to undergo Musim Mas’ re-entry process.
Based on the discussions, the following are the key steps taken by TSE Group:
TSE Group appointed Yayasan Hylobates Awara (Yahywa) as an independent institution to conduct a liability assessment in its concession in South Papua Province and North Maluku Province. |
| May 2023 | As part of its transparency commitment, TSE Group is disclosing legacy cases—those originating before its separation from Korindo—by coordinating their publication through the Korindo Grievance Page.
Regarding Rainforest Action Network (RAN)’s report titled “Perilous – Korindo, Land Grabbing & Banks” , Korindo has addressed the report and the outcome can be accessed here. |
| August 2023 | PT GMM has completed its HCV-HCS integrated assessment and obtained a ‘Satisfactory’ status from HCVN. |
| October 2024 | The communication process with TSE Group is ongoing. The milestones of our engagement with TSE Group are as follow:
Musim Mas continues to monitor the progress. |
| March 2025 | All TSE Group subsidiaries have completed all HCV-HCS integrated assessment and attained a ‘Satisfactory’ status. |
| October 2025 | Considering that TSE Group has fulfilled all necessary requirements and compliance obligations relevant with Musim Mas’ re-entry criteria, we decided TSE Group can re-enter Musim Mas supply chain. |
